Energy saving performance of exhaust air heat recovery system in Shanghai public buildings

With an hourly dynamic simulation method, calculates the annual energy saving amount, fan energy consumption, saved operating cost and corresponding payback period of the exhaust air heat recovery systems for different types of public buildings in Shanghai. According to the calculation results, summarizes the energy saving, economy and feasibility of the exhaust air heat recovery equipment, and carries out the sensitivity analysis of each factor. The results show that the energy saving effect is similar in the different types of buildings, and the economy is determined by air rate and operating time, in which the occupancy rate has the greatest impact on the economy of heat recovery equipment.
